Description
Join the Business Growth Service and Family Business UK during Family Business Week 2026, for a dedicated webinar helping family businesses build capability, access government support and grow.
The session will introduce the Business Growth Service (BGS) and how it is bringing together government-backed business support, making it easier for businesses to find the help that is right for them. You’ll also hear from Help to Grow: Management, with a mini masterclass offering practical insights to support effective business management and growth, alongside a presentation from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) on the Youth Guarantee programme and its relevance to family businesses.
Together, the sessions will highlight practical opportunities to support family business growth while showcasing the wider help available through the BGS.
Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the UK Government support available to help family businesses develop, grow and access new opportunities.
Why is this important for businesses?
Family businesses are a cornerstone of the UK economy, accounting for more than 93% of private sector firms and supporting millions of jobs. Against a backdrop of challenges around productivity, management capability, recruitment and navigating business support, this webinar provides a timely opportunity for family-run firms to understand the practical help available through the Business Growth Service, strengthen their management capabilities through Help to Grow: Management, and explore how the Youth Guarantee can help connect businesses with the next generation of talent.
