TLT advises US private equity firm on UK subsidiary

The client engaged TLT to secure visas to enable several US team members to relocate to the UK with their dependents. Our corporate lawyers supported the client in developing the corporate structure and planned activities of the UK subsidiary company in a way that would be most advantageous in terms of tax and immigration.

TLT’s Employment Team then assisted the client in developing employment contracts, human resources policies and sourcing external employment support, to ensure that the client could commence work immediately upon the US colleagues’ arrival in the UK.

TLT’s Intellectual Property Team helped to protect the company’s name and logo in the UK, the European Union, Norway and Switzerland, and provided advice on how the client could strategically develop their branding.

The client also required advice on securing a suitable London office, which required TLT’s specialist property team to develop leases for their chosen premises.
