We were contacted by a listed Indian company who were considering setting up a subsidiary in the UK. They already had some sales in the UK but wanted to employ people and set up an office in the UK to aid their development. We advised the Indian group on the process of setting up the company in the UK and the accounting and legal requirements that they needed to be aware of once they had incorporated. We also put them in touch with other professionals to assist them with matters such as office rental. Once the decision was made to incorporate the company in the UK, we dealt with this process for them. Now that they are set up, we continue to provide accounting and tax advice to the to ensure that they remain compliant with UK regulations. We also act as auditors of their financial statements and report to their group auditor in India. The outcome was a new UK company which is a 100% subsidiary of the Indian group employing more than 10 people in the UK and continued work for our firm
