Advising a US client on Business Immigration Law

Our client required key employees to be transferred on assignment from the US to the UK in order to fulfil highly skilled roles within the Belfast office. Cleaver Fulton Rankin provided legal advice with the obtaining of a Sponsor Licence with the UKVI. Cleaver Fulton Rankin successfully obtained a Sponsor Licence facilitating the transfer of highly skilled migrants to the UK. We engaged closely with senior officials of our client to prepare the application for consideration by the UKVI. In early 2019 we also assisted with the transfer of two key employees under the Sponsor Licence. Our client is now on the official Sponsor Licence holder which provides an opportunity to not only transfer highly skilled migrants already working for our client’s business but also hire other highly skilled migrants from competitors not affiliated with the business.
