Founded in 1964, Oceaneering is a global provider of engineered services and products, specialising in asset integrity, intervention services, Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and subsea hardware. For the offshore wind industry, Oceaneering provides:

  • installation and marine coordination support, including work-class ROVs, and marine mammal and collision avoidance technologies

Oceaneering is recognised for providing tailored support to offshore wind projects during the installation and operational phases, such as the Isurus ROV which is designed for high-current environments to improve operational efficiency. They operate one of the world's largest fleets of work-class ROVs and have a global presence, allowing for versatile and effective service delivery across key regions.

Industry track record

Since 2011, Oceaneering has provided services for 117 offshore wind projects. This includes the following APAC projects:

  • greater Changhua in Taiwan, where it provided ROV support for foundation and cable installation
  • Yunlin project in Taiwan, where it provided ROV support for cable lay installation
  • a fixed offshore wind project in Japan, where it provided drill support services

It is also actively involved in the floating offshore wind sector, with recent projects including:

  • Provence Grand Large in France, where it provided ROV support for the installation of three turbines
  • DemoSath in Spain, where it provided ROV support for the installation of one turbine
  • Hywind Tampen in Norway, where it provided ROV support for the installation of dynamic array cables
