The King’s Awards for Enterprise recognise outstanding UK businesses across 5 categories. Each category celebrates excellence in a different area of business performance, from innovation and international expansion to social impact and sustainability.

A business can apply for a King’s Award for Enterprise if they are:

• UK-based
• have a clean compliance record, including with HMRC
• run as a self-contained business with their own accounts
• employ at least 2 people in the UK
• and can show strong environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices

Each category then has additional eligibility criteria:

• Innovation
• International Trade
• Promoting Opportunity (through social mobility)
• Sustainability
• Young Founder
