Description

Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber and the UK Department for Business and Trade (DBT) invite a select cohort of up to 10 high-potential UK innovators to join an exclusive UK delegation to India. This tailored programme accelerates entry into the Indian market with visits to Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Delhi. Participants will connect directly with key decision-makers and position their innovations for adoption at scale, meeting buyers, hospitals, distributors, and regulatory experts.

Priority areas include AI and digital health in diagnostics, point-of-care diagnostics, novel biomarkers, and AI in radiology reporting. Programme highlights include market briefings, regulatory guidance, networking opportunities, and curated meetings with leading referral laboratories, commercial partners, and regulatory consultants.

The Indian diagnostics sector, valued at £4.5bn by 2027, offers significant opportunities for UK companies, particularly as India imports the majority of its medical devices and diagnostic imaging is growing rapidly. The programme offers practical support for evidence generation, market entry consulting, and showcases the UK’s MedTech strengths.

Programme structure:

  • Preparation phase (June–September2026): Individual onboarding, market briefings, and regulatory guidance.
  • In-market visit (26–30 October 2026): Delegation visits, curated meetings, and practical tips for engaging with Indian stakeholders.
  • Travel costs: Participants pay for visa fees, travel, food, and accommodation. Programme fee covered by DBT. Applications close Wednesday 31st July.
