Description

Learn how UK and European brands can reach Chinese consumers through JD.com, including an opportunity for JD to buy products directly from brands.

Join this webinar to hear from Sid Dhar, Head of European Direct Sourcing at JD Cross-Border, and discover how international brands can enter and grow in the Chinese market through JD.com.

JD Cross-Border is the cross-border e-commerce channel of JD.com, one of China’s largest retailers. Cross-border e-commerce can offer overseas brands a lower-barrier route into China and can be particularly relevant for new, niche and premium products.

The webinar will explore two ways of working with JD.com:

  • Flagship store: brands operate their own store on JD.com.
  • Direct sourcing / wholesale: JD.com buys products directly from brands and sells them to consumers, taking responsibility for operations, marketing, logistics and customer service.

You’ll also hear about JD’s Growth Plan, which aims to support 1,000 overseas brands to access the Chinese market. JD is looking for brands across categories including food and drink, FMCG, beauty, health, electronics, home and lifestyle.

Who is this webinar for?

  • UK brands that are new to China and want to understand whether cross-border e-commerce could provide a route into the market.
  • Established exporters looking to grow in China, including brands interested in adding JD.com alongside their existing routes to market.
  • Consumer brands interested in a wholesale opportunity, where JD could purchase products directly and manage their sale to Chinese consumers.
