Based at the British Embassy Dubai, he works with governments, regulators and industry partners to promote UK expertise in critical infrastructure protection, resilience, security, emergency preparedness and crisis management. David supports UK businesses seeking opportunities across the GCC and helps develop government-to-government partnerships in resilience and infrastructure protection.

Michael Dayson FRGS

Principal Resilience and Security Advisor, Department for Business and Trade

Michael Dayson is Principal Resilience and Security Advisor at the Department for Business and Trade, leading UK engagement on resilient infrastructure, civil defence, fire, security and critical national infrastructure, with a particular focus on the Middle East.

He works with governments, civil defence organisations and industry to build strategic partnerships that strengthen national resilience, emergency response capability and infrastructure protection
