Ireland is preparing to invest €24.3 billion in transport upgrades by 2030, with further investments including DART+, MetroLink, Cork Area Commuter Rail, the All-Island Strategic Rail Review and upgrades to the Luas network.

Head of Supply Chain, MetroLink
Gerard Smith is Head of Supply Chain for the MetroLink, as part of the Multidisciplinary Client Partner team. Drawing on experience from major programmes including HS2 and the London 2012 Olympics, he leads initiatives to strengthen supply chain capacity and support the successful delivery of MetroLink.
Paolo Carbone
Head of Light Rail Capital Programmes, TII
Paolo Carbone is Head of Light Rail Capital Programmes at TII, responsible for a portfolio of projects that will expand Ireland's light rail network. Drawing on more than two decades of international rail experience, he has played a leading role in the development of Luas, MetroLink and future sustainable transport infrastructure.
Paolo is also chair of the UITP Light Rail Committee.
Fergus Meehan
Head of Light Rail – Cork, Regional Cities & Greater Dublin Area, TII
Fergus Meehan is Head of Light Rail for Cork, Regional Cities and the Greater Dublin Area at Transport Infrastructure Ireland. With experience in transport planning and project development including in the roads sector, he oversees the advancement of major light rail initiatives that will support Ireland's future growth and mobility needs.
David Weldon
Head of Light Railway, Dublin Metropolitan Area, TII
David Weldon is Project Manager (Design) for New Luas Projects at Transport Infrastructure Ireland. With a background spanning Luas Cross City and major transport infrastructure delivery, he plays a key role in developing future light rail projects across Ireland
