Marie is based in Geneva and has more than 20 years' experience in leading BIST’s Trade work on life sciences in Switzerland, with a particular focus on biopharma and engineering biology. Her role includes supporting UK companies to access export opportunities in the Swiss market, as well as promoting UK capabilities to Swiss buyers, investors and research institutions. Marie also covers CERN and UN procurement, helping UK businesses compete for major international contracts. She works with companies, regulators and policymakers to address trade barriers, shape future markets and create the conditions for innovative technologies to scale and succeed in Switzerland.
Shona Brown

Shona Brown began her career in the commercial team in the British Embassy in Madrid in 2005. Since 2012 she has been working in the Life Sciences sector leading many projects related to healthcare. She has particular interest in Medtech/AI/Digital Health and Sustainability. Her job involves engaging with many different stakeholders in both Spain and the UK from government, industry, science and the healthcare sector. She supports British companies expand their business in Spain and Spanish companies who want to grow their business in the UK.
Shona was educated in Scotland and speaks fluent Spanish, German and English. Prior to working in the Embassy she worked in the private sector.
