Flotation Energy has a particular track record of developing floating offshore wind projects. It pioneered the world’s largest floating offshore wind farm, Kincardine.
In 2022, Floating Energy became part of the TEPCO Group. Supported by the experience and resources of Japan’s largest electricity utility, Flotation Energy holds a strong position in global offshore wind development.
Industry track record
Flotation Energy is developing a portfolio of 13 GW of both fixed and floating wind projects, including:
- 2.5 GW in the UK, with the Green Volt, Cenos, Morecambe and White Cross projects – Green Volt is set to become the first commercial-scale floating offshore wind project in Europe in 2029
- 1.2 GW in Taiwan with the Chu Tin project
- 1 GW in Japan with the Toki project
