Founded in 2007, ZX Lidars is a wind lidar specialist. It designs and produces wind lidars for onshore and offshore wind measurements.

ZX Lidars’ solutions are suitable for a wide range of use cases including construction and operation wind monitoring, offshore platform metocean monitoring, resource assessments and wind turbine or wind farm optimisation.

ZX Lidars’ products include:

• ZX 300, which is a vertical profiling lidar suitable for onshore projects that can operate in extreme environments with a proven lifetime of 10 years and has a range of 10m to 300m
• ZX 300M, which is a vertical profiling lidar suitable for offshore projects that provides wind resource measurements and can operate autonomously for 3 years in harsh weather conditions and has a range of 10m to 300m
• ZX TM, which is a horizontal turbine mounted lidar that records measurements from 10m to 550m at 50 points per second and is optimised for rotor equivalent wind speeds, and measuring wakes and wind shear across the entire rotor

ZX Lidars has over 15,000 Lidar deployments across 100 countries. It has more than 98% system uptime across its Lidar managed fleet. The ZX 300M has been the industry standard offshore lidar solution for over a decade, serving 90% of global offshore wind resource assessments.

ZX Lidars’ solutions have been deployed in Japan for more than 15 years, using a network of trusted service providers for installations, servicing and support of lidars, as well as power supplies and communication equipment for full wind data campaigns.
