Company Outline

Founded in 2010, W3G Marine provides engineering, project management and consultancy services to the offshore wind industry. It specialises in the development of subsea installation equipment for fixed and floating foundations.

W3G Marine’s solutions for the offshore wind industry include:

  • A patented solution which dampens crane load motions on a vessel in floating offshore wind turbine major component exchange
  • A foundation stabilisation tool which stabilises the connection between a jacket foundation and sea bed pile, using a patented water inflated steel component, replacing conventional hydraulic rams
  • HydroNAS, a flexible underwater noise mitigation system designed for foundation installation activities, providing peak pressure noise reduction across the inflatable barrier, and
  • An innovative assembly system, enabling turbine and floating structure assembly for any floater type (except deepwater spar) without the requirement for major port upgrades.

Industry track record

W3G Marine has acted as the owner’s engineer on the Kincardine floating offshore wind project in the UK. It is currently supporting its operation and maintenance and is part of the team which successfully conducted both tow-to-port and in-situ major component exchanges. W3G Marine has also provided floating offshore wind consultancy services to projects in the Japanese market.
