Company Outline
Founded in 2009, First Marine Solutions provides consultancy and equipment for mooring systems in the floating offshore wind sector. It provides an integrated service, including the design, installation and maintenance of mooring systems, alongside equipment supply. It leverages its experience of the marine environment and mooring systems, gained from the oil and gas sector, to support offshore renewable projects globally.
First Marine Solutions’ services for the offshore wind sector include:
- Mooring design, supply, inspection and repair
- Engineering consultancy
- Survey and positioning services, including mooring installation support
- Equipment rental and sales
- Project management, and
- Marine assurance and consultancy.
First Marine Solutions has an in-house fleet of mooring equipment and a dedicated quayside facility in Montrose, Scotland. It operates worldwide, with experience in the North Sea, Black Sea, Mediterranean, Atlantic Ocean, West Africa, Canada and Australia. In 2024, First Marine Solutions signed an agreement with Horizon Ocean Management to provide mooring services to the Japanese floating offshore wind market.
