Chartwell Marine is an independent naval architecture and engineering company that provides marine consultancy focused on vessel design.
Chartwell Marine provides vessel owners with vessel design, engineering, fabrication and surveying services. It has various vessel designs in its portfolio for offshore wind, including five CTV designs and one SOV design. Chartwell Marine has two sister companies, Cedar Marine and Engineered Marine Systems. Together, the services they offer for the offshore wind industry include:
- Engineering design for new build and refitting of vessels, including technical specification development, manufacture and assembly, and
- Vessel build support services, including build schedule planning, carbon management, cost forecasting and ship surveying services, primarily through Cedar Marine.
Innovation, research and development are key focus areas for Chartwell Marine. It has won several UK grants and awards for innovation to support environmental impact studies of vessel designs, future fuelling solutions and autonomous vessels. Chartwell Marine was nominated for Maritime Solent UK Business of the Year 2024, and won European Vessel Design of the Year 2023, Maritime Solent UK Business of the Year 2022 and Best International Trade Partner 2022.

- 40 projects in the rest of Europe
- 10 projects in the US, and
- 11 projects in APAC markets, including 1 project in Japan.
