Founded in 1975, JDR Cable Systems is a specialist in subsea power cables and umbilical systems. Since 2017, it has been wholly owned by the TELE-FONIKA Kable, a leading global producer of wires and cables. JDR Cable Systems’ expertise covers the design, manufacture and supply of umbilical and power cables, alongside a range of cable accessories. It provides solutions across the entire project lifecycle, including front-end engineering design (FEED), installation, pre-commissioning and asset management.

JDR Cable System’s array power cables and cable accessories can be designed flexibly according to client needs, with configurable materials and manufacturing processes. Its multi-phase AC systems cover a voltage range from 66 kV to 132 kV, with the option to select wet or dry design types featuring cross-linked polyethylene insulation systems. JDR Cable Systems can further configure designs with armouring options that are available in coilable and non-coilable designs.

JDR Cable Systems also designs terminations and fittings for topside and subsea connections and can offer assembly services and qualification testing to validate design analyses. Additionally, it provides support services including installation guidance, cable-lay assistance, offshore pull-ins, temporary hang offs, electrical termination testing and complete repair services.

Industry track record

JDR Cable Systems has delivered over 4,000 km of array cables to the offshore industry. Its subsea cable systems and associated services have been utilised in 57 operational offshore wind projects worldwide.
