The King's Award for Enterprise - Innovation
The King's Award for Enterprise in Innovation is for businesses with innovative products, services or business models that have been on the market for at least 2 years.
It celebrates organisations that have created something genuinely new, and can clearly demonstrate its success. Your innovation may relate to goods, services, marketing, distribution or customer support.
Criteria
To apply, you must:
- have an innovation that has not been sold before
- have had it available on the market for at least 2 years
- have recovered all investment in the innovation, or show credible evidence that full costs will be recovered
- demonstrate outstanding commercial success as a direct result of the innovation over a 2 to 5 year period
You’ll need to show:
- a clear explanation of the innovation, in simple, accessible language
- how it was developed, including challenges, collaboration and problem‑solving
- why it’s different what makes it unique in your sector.
- evidence of impact, such as increased sales, new markets, ROI or customer benefits
- commercial performance over 2 to 5 years, demonstrating real, measurable success
