Case Study 1 – US Aquaculture Business

Our support helped secure a £3m grant for the project, alongside assistance in establishing and running the UK subsidiary. We have since delivered a wide range of services, including bookkeeping and outsourced payroll (covering non-UK residents), pension schemes, management accounts, statutory reporting, VAT compliance, corporation tax and R&D claims, personal tax for directors, company secretarial support, and advice on UK vs US accounting standards. We also implemented cloud accounting tools to provide real-time access for US management and prepared ongoing grant monitoring reports. Through our BKR International network, we obtained specialist advice on employment contracts and taxation for Norwegian employees. The company is now firmly established in the UK, with successful R&D leading to small-scale production for clinical trials, and is set to become a major technical centre of excellence for the group.
