This was to be the client’s first hire in the UK, initially to lead in sales and marketing, then around which the client would go on to build a team and ultimately an integrated business, not just to promote its products, but then to manufacture and distribute to all the major retailers in the UK.
Friisberg:
• checked the viability of the client’s business plan for the UK
• liaised carefully with the client’s existing companies in Europe, in Germany & The Baltics
• analysed the UK retailers stocking comparable products, to identify analogous suppliers to target
• advised the client on salary and incentivisation necessary to attract a suitably experienced person
• researched, approached and interviewed people with relevant career backgrounds and skills
• collated a fulsome briefing pack to stimulate and sustain interest from the best candidates
• presented a shortlist and made our recommendations, then arranged interviews with the client
