SEE ATTACHMENT FOR FULL TEXT OF THE PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE. The scope of this project involves testing, repair, and controls update of the Canyon Ferry Powerplant 125 Ton Bridge Crane which has been in service since 1954. The work consists of removing and disposing of existing bridge crane motors and control equipment, electrical wiring, associated enclosures, trolley power rails; furnishing, installing, and testing new motors and variable frequency drive (VFD) crane controls, a new grounded rail conductor, and trolley festoon power system; removing and disposing of the main and auxiliary hoist ropes; furnishing and installing new hoist ropes; performing system checkout and commissioning, operation and maintenance training and certified crane load tests; and certifying crane lifting devices. The work also includes performing a thorough non-destructive examination of the bridge crane components by a combination of methods including: visual inspection, magnetic particle inspection, ultrasonic testing inspection, and dye penetration testing. Servicing of all mechanical components (drain/inspect/lubricate) is included in the work.
