Description

The scope of works comprises the design, supply, delivery, installation, modification, testing and commissioning and defects rectification during the defects liability period of the following:

(a) Provision of remote earthing switches and associated trackside equipment at 134 locations for the visualised remote earthing system.

(b) Provision of the integrated cabinet type motorised isolators with earthed position and associated trackside equipment at 11 locations.

(c) Provision of the backend system with redundancy and the corresponding system control software for the visualised remote earthing system.

(d) Provision of 2 workstations at Kowloon Bay Depot (KBD) and Tsing Yi – Operation Control Centre (TSY-OCC) and one laptop with wireless connectivity for the control and access of the system control software and backend system.

(e) Provision of optical fiber network including patch panels, access switches, corporate data network (CDN) fan-out switches and optical fiber cables for connecting the remote earthing system to CDN and URL’s main control system/power remote control (MCS/PRC) server

(f) Provision of control cables, programmable logic computer (PLC), other necessary equipment and corresponding software configuration for enabling status monitoring and remote control functions of 116 overhead line (OHL) isolators through both the visualised remote earthing system control software (intermediate arrangement) and URL MCS/ PRC system (final arrangement)

(g) Supply and installation of low voltage (LV) power supply for visualised remote earthing system and OHL isolators.

(h) Construction of civil support structures and footings for the visualised remote earthing system.

(i) Provision of a standalone remote earthing system for training purpose including one remote earthing switch, one backend server and one workstation.
