Description
Planning services for the general renovation of the Meistersingerhalle in sections, here: Plant group 7 / operational and logistics planning, kitchen and stage equipment, stage lighting. It is intended to commission the services in stages, in sections and, if necessary, in part. Further details can be found in the award documents.
The Meistersingerhalle Nuremberg is a highly variable venue with a wide range of different event formats. The two halls provide a stage for classical music, pop and rock concerts, musicals and theater performances for over 2,000 visitors. Likewise, congresses, exhibitions, trade fairs or ball and banquet events take place, often including the two spacious foyers as well as the in-house food and beverage service. In the course of the refurbishment, additional meeting and conference space will continue to be realized through restructuring. As far as possible, the upcoming refurbishment measures are to be carried out during extended summer breaks from the end of May to mid-September. This means that the refurbishment will have to be carried out in sections in individual but strongly interwoven construction phases and partial construction measures. The target is five years for realization. The Meistersingerhalle Nuremberg has not undergone any fundamental refurbishment since it was opened in 1963. Although individual areas have been repeatedly repaired and renovated, the basic structure has remained largely untouched. In addition to the necessary energy measures and measures to expand the congress area and improve the lounge situation in the backstage area, key aspects are a noticeable improvement in the overall operational processes and all access routes, since the construction requirements of 1959 no longer correspond to those of today. For example, the delivery situation, especially for the Great Hall, must be fundamentally changed and facilitated in order to be able to smoothly bring the necessary material (event technology, decoration, scenery, etc.) onto the stage for large events. In the course of the delivery and operational organization and the necessary stage expansion, the complete stage technology is also to be completely re-examined. An overall design concept is to be drawn up for the use of the foyer, taking into account the artistic events and catering operations that will also take place there. An express wish is the re-establishment of the restaurant area with outdoor area in the direction of the Luitpoldhain as well as the so-called smokers' lounge including the revival of the former counter situation as a link between the two foyers. The former bowling alley in the basement of the MSH with a beer hall in front of it is to be converted into a basement stage in the style of a jazz cellar, if possible. In this overall context, gastronomic processes between the kitchen area, the restaurant, the two halls, the foyers and the cellar bar are to be restructured. A utilization concept coordinated with the operational logistics must be developed for the entire catering area, which will restore the attractiveness of the building to that of the construction period. Due to the close interlocking of the overall operational processes, but above all due to the requirement to maintain at least a partial operation and the resulting division into individual construction phases - which may also function separately from one another by means of isolated solutions - a holistic approach is an essential part of the planning services to be provided. The services essentially comprise the planning of the integrated operational logistics, as well as kitchen and stage technology systems, including stage lighting.
