Germany - Unstrutbahn complex (superstructure, LST, underground cable construction)

Description

The Unstrutbahn complex project provides for the rehabilitation of line 6726 (VzG 50km/h) over a distance of 14 km from Freyburg (Unstrut) station to Karsdorf station. The line is located on the Saale-Unstrut wine mile and represents a central and important axis for regional tourism by public transport. The conversion area is single-track on the open section and double-track at Laucha station.

The project comprises the following sub-projects:

T.016083099, GE+WE ULCH, km 12.4 - 13.4
The project GE+WE Bf Laucha comprises the complete renewal of the superstructure including complete ballast renewal, sleeper replacement, track replacement of tracks Gl1 and Gl2 as well as switch renewal of switches We1 and We2.
The conversion is being carried out conventionally.

T.016090718, GEoS ULCH-UKF, km 13.4 - 20.2
The GEoS projects include ballast cleaning and sleeper replacement in the section of open track between Freyburg station and Karsdorf station.
The conversion is being carried out mechanically in an assembly line process.
