Description

The objective of the consultancy is to prepare information about the prioritised investments in all transport sub-sectors, which will further enable:

(a) provision of infrastructure to unlock the potential of the private sector, and to champion gender equity and community participation (inclusive growth);

(b) contribution to climate resilient growth, protection of livelihoods and natural resources;

(c) promotion of the improved connectivity across the archipelago through a coordinated and enhanced transport network.

The assignment will produce: (i) a critical situation analysis of TCI’s transport sector; (ii) a prioritised programme of climate resilient, environmentally friendly, socially inclusive, gender sensitive capital investments, in transport infrastructure and include both new-built and refurbishment works; (iii) an interactive web-based online tool (using software/platform already available on existing servers) demonstrating network representation of connections and dependencies between proposed projects in the Master Plan, in order to enable informed decision-making with full awareness of impacts on other projects. The duration of the assignment is expected to be for a period of six (6) months.
