Description
As part of its activities, visit.brussels publishes a number of communication media (brochures, catalogues, leaflets, websites, posters, flyers, maps, announcements, communication on social networks, press releases, press kits, etc.) aimed in particular at tourists from the Brussels-Capital Region or specific sectors of activity such as the hotel and catering industry, tourism professionals, etc. Moreover, visit.brussels is an autonomous administrative body and is therefore subject to the legislation on public contracts. In general, the source language is mainly French with Dutch as the target language. For the production and editing of all these documents, visit.brussels requires translation, proofreading, copywriting and rewriting services. The purpose of this Framework Agreement is to establish the legal, financial, technical and administrative context for the Call-ups to be placed by visit.brussels during the period of validity of this Framework Agreement for the translation, proofreading, copywriting and rewriting of communication materials. It defines the unit cost of the services relating to the tasks requested.
The services requested for Lot 1 mainly relate to:1) translation work in the following main source and target language combinations:- French,- Dutch,- English (standard British English),- German,2) translation work in the following ancillary source and target language combinations:- Italian,- Spanish,- Portuguese,- Chinese (simplified Cantonese),- Arabic,- Russian. The services requested for lot 2 mainly concern:- copywriting services: creation of content and/or updating of existing content on the basis of a briefing (French or Dutch) by the contracting authority. The main target languages are French, Dutch and English (British English); and secondarily German. The writer must be a native speaker of the language of the text requested; - rewriting services: this involves rewriting a text supplied in its "raw" state which requires rewriting either because it was written by a person who does not have a sufficient command of the language, or because it was written by several people in a different style, or because the wording is generally unattractive. The aim of rewriting is to create more coherence, fluidity and attractiveness. As an infinitesimal accessory, the contracting authority could ask for drafting work in other languages not mentioned above.
