Description
The programme must provide both informal hands-on workshops and training in digital fabrication to micro-enterprises, schools and other groups in hard to reach rural areas of the region (Leitrim, Longford, Cavan and Roscommon). The provision of services must include delivery of all programmes, all equipment required for the programme, transport to the various locations across the project’s region and all related materials for workshops and programmes to the delivered. The level of service to be offered should be equal across the four counties involved.
Programme details:
Working with Leitrim Local Enterprise Office the successful tenderer will develop a nine to twelve month programme that will include some or all of the following:
•Design Skills & Digital Fabrication Course
•3D Printer Building Workshops
•Digital Crafting Courses
•Design Sessions using laser cutter and 3D printing
•Seminars on Computer Aided Design (CAD)
•‘Start Your Own Product’ Workshops
•Mentorship for Primary/Post-Primary Junior Entrepreneur Programme
•Other programmes may be developed in consultation with Leitrim LEO and its partners.
Programme Timeline:
It is estimated that the programme will be developed and rolled out over a nine to twelve month period. The programme should deliver 65 days direct contact with target groups in counties Leitrim, Roscommon, Longford and Cavan. An additional 35 days is estimated for planning and programme development. The programme will need to provide 400 hours of training over its lifetime to at least 400 people.

The following equipment and technology is expected to be used over the course of the programme:

•Laser Cutter/Desktop Laser Cutter
•Vinyl Cutter
•T-Shirt printing capabilities
•Technology/Software to Provide Electronic Prototyping
•Fusion 360 or similar CAD Design Software
•Laptops x 4
•Crafting and accessories tools
•Materials- all necessary materials, equipment and technologies
