Description

The subject of the contract is the repeat testing of the alarm systems in approx. 100 school buildings in the state capital of Hanover in the period from 01.05.2025 to 30.04.2028 on the basis of the directive on building inspection requirements for schools (SchulbauR) and Section 78 of the Lower Saxony Building Regulations (NBauO) in conjunction with Section 30 of the General Implementation Ordinance to the Lower Saxony Building Regulations (DVO-NBauO). The actual inspections will begin with the start of the Lower Saxony summer vacations from 03.07.2025. The alarm systems in approx. 33 school buildings are to be inspected each year.
The technology of the alarm systems in all buildings meets at least the requirements of VDE 0828 (new: DIN EN50849) with one or more amplifiers, an emergency amplifier, emergency power supply, 2 intercom stations and loudspeakers in the corridors and all rooms in which people may be present as well as in the outdoor area. A fire alarm system is currently connected to the electro-acoustic system (ELA) at 50 schools. The additional fire alarm system is not the subject of this tender (no voice alarm system).
A list of objects is attached to the tender documents. It contains all schools in the state capital of Hanover in which tests must be carried out in the next 3 years. ID, address, contact, type of system, number of connected loudspeakers and total audio power in watts as well as the number of trigger points to be tested are shown in tabular form.
It can be assumed that the repetition test of an alarm control panel takes approx. 1.5 hours; the functional test of the signaling devices takes approx. 2 hours.
As a house alarm must also be triggered for the test, the test must generally be carried out outside the school's regular operating hours on Mondays to Fridays.
It is therefore planned to carry out most of the tests during the Easter, summer and fall vacations in Lower Saxony.
