Description

The object of the contract is the planning and construction services for the reorganization and redensification of the former Waidmannstrasse 26 commercial site in Hamburg-Altona and the subsequent operation of the entire site for 25 years.
The client is a property management company of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (Landesbetrieb Immobilienmanagement und Grundvermögen).
The client intends to create a place for culture and sport, for work and production as well as for leisure and recreation. The overall project comprises new construction and refurbishment measures of approx. 99,500 m² GFA (78,900 m² GFA (R) and 20,600 m² GFA (S)), which are divided into different property and usage types as follows: New construction of a stadium (component 1); conversion of a factory hall into a music hall (component 2); existing buildings (component 4); outdoor facilities (component 5).
