The parking garage on Mostardstraße is located in the city center of Aachen and was built in 1965 according to planning documents. It is divided into five parking levels with a total of 404 parking spaces (Level 0, Level A to D). Levels A to D each consist of two half-levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2). This refurbishment plan provides for all levels, stairwells and the entrance and exit areas to be upgraded. The parking garage is around 80 m long and 35 m wide. The average storey height is 2.20 m, but 3.35 m in the entrance area on level 1. The multi-storey parking lot was constructed using monolithic reinforced concrete. The floor slabs (h=26cm), which were designed as point-supported flat slabs, transfer the loads to the columns via internal load-bearing strips. A column head reinforcement, a so-called mushroom head, was arranged in the area of the columns. The parking garage was probably built in four construction phases. The structural joints are currently elastically filled. There are no expansion joint profiles on the top of the ceiling. The parking garage is accessed via the entrance and exit from Mostardstraße. The parking garage has six stairwells. Stairwells TRH I and II provide access to the parking garage. Stairwells TRH III to V are emergency stairwells. Stairwell VI has been decommissioned. The stairwells are made of reinforced concrete and, as things stand at present, the associated technical building services are not part of the contract award.
