The demand for gas transportation capacities in Baden-Württemberg is constantly increasing. This is why terranets bw is planning the new natural gas transport pipeline "Süddeutsche Erdgasleitung" (SEL), which will begin near Lampertheim and run via Heidelberg, Heilbronn, Ludwigsburg, Esslingen and Heidenheim over a total length of 250 km to Bis-singen in Bavaria. In Lampertheim, Heidelberg, Heilbronn and Löchgau, important network hubs will be built for the existing tnbw network. The pipeline will supply cities, municipalities, power plants and industries with natural gas in the future and is expected to supply hydrogen from 2030.the pipeline is to be built in several construction sections.this tender includes services for the construction sections - SEL 3b Heidelberg to Hüffenhardt, 47 km DN 1000- SEL 3a Siegelsbach to Heilbronn, 14 km DN 1000These are to be awarded as 1 construction lot with a total length of approx. 61 km. At least 2 fully-fledged construction crews are to be provided for all essential pipeline construction operations. It must be planned that these crews, each consisting of civil engineering and pipe construction, will work simultaneously on each other. The pipeline is to be constructed "H2Ready", i.e. suitable for the transportation of up to 100% molecular hydrogen, and the planning approval decision from 2010 is still valid for the SEL 3a construction section and must be implemented. Individual planning amendment procedures are still pending and will be taken into account as far as possible in the invitation to tender. The SEL 3b construction section is currently in the ongoing planning approval process, the decision is expected in December 2024 / January 2025, and the applicant is free to obtain information about the planning approval decisions as early as the participation competition phase. The planning approval decision and the planning approval application documents will be made available to interested applicants for download on request, and the consent of the landowners and land managers under private law is also a prerequisite for the start of work.
