Description
The city of Cham is planning to renovate the municipal stadium on Further Straße. The stadium was inaugurated on 25.09.1971. Concrete seating steps served as stands. The slope towards Jahnstraße was supported by an embankment wall. This had to be renovated in 1995 by anchoring it back. The concrete steps were merely maintained. In 2021\/22, the steps were closed and dismantled due to structural concerns.
The city council decided to renovate the stadium at its meeting on 27.10.2022. At the meeting on 25.04.2024, it also voted in favor of integrating a children's sports center into the stadium.
The aim of the renovation is to create a modern, attractive and high-quality meeting place in the heart of Cham. The stadium should be multifunctional for athletics, popular sports, school sports, concerts and cultural events as well as soccer (suitable for regional leagues).
The material protection of visitors for sporting events has already been secured for 3129 people. The following limits apply to cultural events:
outside quiet hours until 8 pm:
- Rock\/pop concert 1,000
- Jazz concert 2,400
- Presentation event 4,000
- Classical concerts 15,000
within the quiet hours from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m:
- Rock-\/pop concert not possible!
- Jazz concert 150
- Moderation event 280
- Classical concert 1,400
The preliminary considerations for the grandstand facility with functional building for the multifunctional sports\/event facility that have already been developed are essentially limited to the western slope situation.
The supporting structure of the functional building block is to be realized via yokes in reinforced concrete at a distance of 8.00 m. Fixed or mobile grandstands are to be placed on this later.
In a preliminary ground investigation, it was determined that the soil is not suitable for the foundation and that a deeper foundation in load-bearing soils (via ductile cast iron piles, concrete vibro columns or bored piles) is required.
The slope situation is to be permanently secured with a back-anchored sheet pile wall. Above the grandstand facility, the existing embankment wall facing Jahnstrasse is to be reinforced with a noise protection wall as a simple construction. Both components (both the sheet pile wall system and the noise barrier) are to be constructed along the entire length of the facility.
Changing rooms, multifunctional\/meeting room, kiosk, storage and WCs are to be accommodated in the functional building block on level 0 (venue level).
On level+1, the grandstands are to be constructed as seating (approx. 500 seats) and standing-room facilities (1 to 2 times approx. 275 standing places) in the form of fixed or rentable prefabricated steel grandstand facilities. The central seating area will have a suitable permanent roofing in steel construction, suitable for photovoltaics. In addition to lighting and loudspeakers, empty conduits for a possible LED advertising strip are to be integrated at the front of the roofing.
Staircases and a wheelchair-accessible logistics\/visitor elevator lead to level+1. Further accesses to the grandstand level and from above to the rear access to the grandstand facilities are planned at the sides to the north and south. The existing access from Jahnstraße must remain accessible for schools.
To the side, to the north of the grandstand, a paved container area is to be created on level 0 as a multifunctional area.
To the side, to the south of the grandstand, the bays are to be extended to accommodate a children's sports center. A space program for a kindergarten with 25 children is to be developed on level 0, and a space program for 12 crèche children with an open space on the underground car park of the Stadthalle is to be developed on level+1. Level+1 must be secured accordingly with a railing for crèches. The underground car park of the town hall is to serve as a parking facility for the children's house. To this end, it is necessary to provide barrier-free access from this level to the... (The text has been cut off. You can find the entire text in the PDF file)
