Description

The Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC), Jamaica’s premier business development organisation, works collaboratively with other government agencies, the private sector, academia and the research community. They develop programmes and policies that foster the competitiveness, modernisation, growth and sustainability of the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector in Jamaica.

The purpose of this consultancy contract is to develop resource materials, specifically complementary curricula and training manuals, on:

digitisation
digitalisation
digital transformation

This is to facilitate specialised MSME training activities.

The consultant/firm will deliver the following results as part of this assignment:

mapping and recommendation report for complementary training
complementary digitisation, digitalisation and digital transformation curricula
training manuals developed for trainers
training of the JBDC and Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) interns
development of MSME digital transformation curricula
development of How to Transform Your Business manual for participating MSMEs

This assignment will provide support to the JBDC to develop complementary curricula and training manuals developed for trainers on:

digitisation
digitalisation
digital transformation

This is to be used by officers within the JBDC, its network of SBDCs, as well as participating interns to support and provide guidance to MSMEs. This is to help them to adopt and use digital technology products and services in their businesses.

It is being proposed that the assignment be undertaken in 3 distinct phases.

Conducting of a mapping/scoping exercise Key deliverable: Mapping and recommendation report for complementary training.
Development of complementary curricula and training manuals Key deliverable: Complementary digitalisation curricula and training manual for trainers and How to Digitise Your Business Training manual for MSMEs.
Capacity building Key deliverable: Capacity building of key officers in JBDC, its network of SBDCs and participating interns.
