Description
The background for this procurement is that the government has decided to allocate money to the design and construction of a new coastal research vessel for the Institute of Marine Research.The Norwegian Institute of Marine Research has received the task of initiating and implementing the procurement of a new coastal research vessel. The procurement is for the design, construction, equipping, testing and delivery of a new coastal research vessel in accordance with the requirements developed in the initial design that are incorporated into the attached contract, cf. The Norwegian Institute of Marine Research shall procure a new coastal research vessel.The procurement is for the design, construction, equipping, testing and delivery of a new coastal research vessel in accordance with the requirements developed in the initial design that are incorporated into the attached contract, cf. Annex 1 Norwegian Standard Ship Building Contract 2000 (adapted), Annex 1.1 Initial design.The procurement is thus for the preparation of the design — basic and detailed design — including production drawings and ‘as-built’ documentation for a new coastal research vessel, cf. Annex 1 Norwegian Standard Ship Building Contract 2000 (adapted). The procurement includes all drawings and technical specifications required for construction, building, outfitting, equipping, testing and delivery of the vessel. Tenderers must guarantee that all services and requirements necessary for the engineering and design of a new coastal research vessel are ensured.Furthermore, the procurement comprises the construction, building, outfitting/equipping, testing and delivery of a coastal research vessel pursuant to the developed design, cf. Annex 1: Norwegian Standard Ship Building Contract 2000, Annexes 1.1 and 1.2. The shipyard will have the full construction responsibility for the vessel pursuant to Annex 1 Norwegian Standard Ship Building Contract 2000 (adapted).The contract also includes two (2) options for the procurement and installation of the following equipment:— one (1) deck crane with a range of 9 m and lifting capacity of minimum 11 tm located at the stern on the port side of the working deck (option 1);— PTI function on the axel-driven generator — after which the power extraction will be combined as power intake (PTI) so that the axel-driven generator can be used as emergency propulsion. The axel-driven generator with accompanying systems must be designed and arranged for use as emergency propulsion if there is an error in the main propulsion engine. The propulsion engine will be disconnected to the yaw in emergency propulsion mode (option 2).Cf. Annex 1 Norwegian Standard Ship Building Contract 2000, Annex 1.1.1: Technical specifications, SFI 331 and 637/667 respectively.In addition DNV classification pursuant to the following class notation will be included as an option:DNV GL + 1A, EO (option 3).For more detailed information and details about the content and scope of the procurement, see the attached tender documentation and Annexes.
