Description

A spectrofluorimeter is a device used to measure parameters of visible spectrum fluorescence: its intensity and wavelength distribution of emission spectrum after excitation by light. Tender is sought for the supply of a research-grade spectrofluorimeter which must present the following characteristics:
• High sensitivity allowing for detection of very weak fluorescence signals.
• All-reflective-optics with 10,000:1 (or higher) water Raman specification.
• Xenon source delivering excitation light from ultraviolet (UV) to the near infra-red (NIR) spectral region.
• Must be supplied with configurated computer and software for the control of the instrument and data analyses. The software must be supplied with a perpetual license.
• The system must include a highly-sensitive emission detector for spectral detection up to 1600 nm.
• Must be equipped with Time-correlated single-photon counting (TCSPC) fluorescence lifetime detector for both very short (down to 25 ps) and long (up to 1 s) lifetime measurements.
• Must be equipped with pulsed laser diode with peak wavelength 510nm +/-10nm, repetition rates up to 100 MHz and active temperature control.
• The total bench footprint of the system should not be more than 150 cm (w) x 60 cm (d).
• The system supplied must include at least ONE year’s Instrument Warranty that comprise all hardware, labour, call outs, visits, travels and part replacements, THREE years is desirable.
• The system should be flexible and allow for purchase of additional functionality at a later date to keep up-to-date with developments in the field.
