Description
The Dominican Republic, through the National Institute of Drinking Water and Sewerage (INAPA), is seeking a consulting firm to act as the 'Engineer' for the supervision of macro sanitation infrastructure works in Higüey, La Altagracia province.
This contract is part of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) financed Universal Sanitation Program in Coastal and Tourist Cities II.
The selected firm will operate under FIDIC Yellow Book 2007 (amended 2022) conditions and will be responsible for:
- reviewing designs
- supervising construction
- supporting the assisted operation of the sanitary sewer system, including:
- main collectors
- drive lines
- pumping stations
- a wastewater treatment plant with secondary biological treatment
- secondary networks and household connections
The firm must also coordinate and control the technical execution of works by the main contractor and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with timelines and quality standards. Experience in microtunneling is required.
The selection will follow Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) procedures under IDB guidelines. Firms may apply individually or in joint ventures, clearly indicating the lead company.
