NOTICE OF INTENT TO RFP: STREET FURNITURE Notice is hereby given by the City of Vancouver (“City”) of its intent to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the supply, installation, maintenance, and operation of all street furniture for a 20-year contract.  The current contract with JCDecaux, active since December 2002, has recently been extended to continue the provision of street furniture during the City’s procurement of a new long-term street furniture agreement and to provide for an orderly transition period. Contract extension details will be appended to the upcoming RFP. To maintain a fair and open process, the City will only respond to all street furniture inquiries after the RFP is officially issued to the marketplace in early July. Proponents will have the opportunity to submit written inquiries as soon as the RFP is issued; all questions and answers will be posted on the City’s e-Sourcing website. The City will also be hosting a bidders’ conference in September to allow proponents the opportunity to seek clarification on any questions before they submit a response.Key timelines as follows:               EVENT ESTIMATED DATEIssue RFPEarly July 2024Bidders Conference Mid/Late Sept 2024RFP Submission DeadlineLate October 2024 Further information on this procurement opportunity is available at this link
