Description

As part of the award procedure, the overall system of the Allgäu-Walser-Card System (AWC) with its various components is to be replaced by a new digital platform. The contract includes the technical implementation and customization of the overall system, the rollout with support and training as part of the system change as well as the licensing of the software components, the ongoing technical operation including B2B support for the OATS (regular support as well as 24/7 emergency management).
Oberallgäu Tourismus Service GmbH (OATS) has been operating the Allgäu-Walser-Card-System (AWC) since 2002 on behalf of the district of Oberallgäu as a platform for the operation of electronic guest cards for the towns in the district of Oberallgäu, the community of Mittelberg (Kleinwalsertal/Austria) and the western Allgäu communities in the district of Lindau (Lake Constance). The project region includes about 7,500 hosts, 100,000 guest beds and 12.5 million overnight stays. The AWC is a guest card that holidaymakers in the Allgäu and Kleinwalsertal vacation region receive free of charge from their host upon arrival. The basic version of the card includes benefits at over 200 leisure facilities and events throughout the region. In addition, each place can combine further services in local packages especially for their own overnight guests. Furthermore, some destinations offer extended all-inclusive packages, such as the year-round offers Oberstaufen PLUS and Bad Hindelang PLUS or the "Bergbahnen Inklusive" offer available in Oberstdorf and Kleinwalsertal in summer. Here, inclusive services are made available and combined with comfort features (e.g. direct access at mountain lift turnstiles, etc.). Even without an all-inclusive package, every guest can further upgrade their AWC by purchasing additional purchase packages. The offer is also available as Allgäu-Walser-FAN-Card, Heimatcard or various citizen cards for locals, who basically benefit from the same advantages in the region. Individual communities also offer special citizen packages that can be purchased and also booked on the card and include extended services (e.g. year-round use of public transport, mountain railroad travel, seasonal ski passes or leisure services). The central component of the AWC is the recording of electronic registration forms in connection with the issuing of guest cards by the affiliated hosts. The AWC provides the platform for the collection of registration data, the creation of registration forms and the issuance of guest cards. For the settlement of the respective spa and tourism fees at the municipal level as well as the creation of tourism statistics, etc., the registration data/electronic registration forms as well as the corresponding usage impulses from the card usage are transferred to the municipalities for controlling purposes and processed there in various downstream systems. Dimensions of the overall AWC project:- approx. 40 connected communities in the Allgäu and Kleinwalsertal region- approx. 100 AWC variants (from the classic guest card to the inclusive/PLUS guest card)- approx. 75,000 Allgäu-Walser FAN cards as the basis for local citizen cards, honorary cards, etc. - approx. 200 connected service partners (mountain railroads, pools, leisure providers, etc.)- 6,300 hosts who register guests and issue cards via the AWC system- approx. 800,000 electronic registration forms and 1.5 million card issues per year- numerous active, partly bidirectional interfaces to hotel software/PMS, SKIDATA, ÖPNV/VDV eTicket, community software/currency fee accounting, cell phone parking, etc. - Allgäu-Walser app for guests/locals with store and wallet (150,000 downloads)- around 700 points of sale for additional services (ski passes, public transport tickets, etc.) As part of the award procedure, the overall AWC system with its various components is to be replaced by a new digital platform. The contract includes the technical implementation and adaptation of the overall system, the rollout with support and training in the context of the system change as well as the licensing of the software components, the ongoing technical operation including B2B support for the OATS (regular support as well as 24/7 emergency management). In particular, the following components are to be mapped: - B2C frontends for guests/end customers (native app iOS/Android with digital map or authorization display, incl. VDV eTicket and SKIDATA, display of POI information/guide content etc.; alternatively as PWA)- B2B frontends for hosts, partners and municipalities (electronic registration certificate, ticket/authorization issuance, POS/B2B store, statistics etc.).), - B2B frontends for points of acceptance (web-based and native app iOS/Android for card/entitlement validation via both QR code and NFC smart card, statistics etc.)- Digital registration slip (capture, self-service/pre-check-in, processing, validation etc.)- Card and authorization issuance (QR code digital via email/wallet, QR code printout, RFID/NFC chip card via chip ID, SKIDATA via DTA, VDV eTicket, etc.)- Background system (product management, partner management, card management, customer management, billing and clearing, etc.) - Interface and external systems (QR code digital via email/wallet, QR code printout, RFID/NFC chip card via chip ID, SKIDATA via DTA, VDV eTicket, etc.).)- Interfaces and external systems (PMS/hotel software interfaces, community systems/spa fee systems, financial accounting/DATEV, T&A/experience booking systems, SKIDATA passenger access/mountain railroads, public transport VDV eTicket, parking systems/Parkster, etc.)- Analytics and statistics (evaluation, reporting, multidimensional analyses, etc.)- Administration (role management, users, clients, access to raw data, etc.)- Data management (role management, users, clients, access to raw data, etc.).
