The Rhine-Lahn District intends to award specialist planning services (structural design in accordance with Section 51 HOAI, incl. building physics) in connection with the replacement of the main building (southeast wing) of the Wilhelm Hofmann High School (WHG) in St. Goarshausen.In order to provide interested parties with uniform information on the project, a brief information on the project is available for download via the "subreport ELViS" award platform used under the project access of this award procedure (see Item I.3.)), a brief information sheet on the project, the key performance indicators of the tendered service and the handling of the award procedure in accordance with the VgV is available for download. The brief information also includes forms for the application to participate, which must be used by the applicants in the course of the tender procedure. After the conclusion of the tendering competition, detailed terms of reference will be provided to the applicants selected in the tendering competition.
The southeast wing (main building) of the Wilhelm-Hofmann-Gymnasium can no longer be used due to structural defects in the concrete ceilings and is to be demolished.With the present award procedure, the necessary specialist planning services for structural design (including building physics) in connection with the replacement of the southeast wing are put out to tender.The planning services to be provided are based on the HOAI service specifications. In particular, the basic services of the service phases 1 to 6 according to § 51 HOAI (structural design) as well as the basic services of the respective service phases 1 to 7 according to Annex 1 No. 1.2.2 HOAI (building physics) are to be provided.In the planning, it must be taken into account that the site is located in the area of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, which was recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2002. Therefore, particularly high demands are to be placed on the visual integrity of the building, especially with regard to the facade design, the materiality and the color design of the building.Furthermore, it must be taken into account in the planning that the Rhine-Lahn district has set itself the goal of drastically reducing the emission of greenhouse gases compared to the current level through strategic climate protection. Therefore, in the course of the implementation of the present measure, potentials for energy saving, efficiency increase as well as the potentials of renewable energies have to be identified and, if possible, developed.
