Description

In the next few years, the Aschaffenburg Waterway Construction Office will carry out a comprehensive basic overhaul of the Main weirs at Erlabrunn, Harrbach, Steinbach and Freudenberg. For the further planning and execution of the basic maintenance, supplementary subsoil investigation work including the preparation of geotechnical reports, as well as expert consulting and monitoring services in the field of geotechnics for the planning and execution phase of the basic maintenance at the weirs Erlabrunn, Harrbach, Steinbach and Freudenberg are to be provided.
The following services are awarded:- Preliminary work: Clarification of the task, determination of the subsoil conditions on the basis of existing documents of the client, identification of information deficits in the form of a short report, site inspection with the client to clarify the local conditions,- determination of the necessary exploration program for the assessment of the subsoil with cost calculation,- preparation of the contract documents for the drilling work required for the subsoil exploration as well as field tests (e.g. for the determination of the geotechnical properties of the subsoil). field tests (e.g. hydraulic borehole tests, WD tests, optical or acoustic borehole scans) according to VV-WSV 2102 (Part 1 No. 7): Description of services, construction description and bill of quantities for the exploratory drilling including adaptation of site plans,- Answering/clarification of bidder questions during the bidding phase of the VOB service (subsoil investigation), examination and evaluation of possible subsidiary offers of the VOB service (subsoil investigation),- Expert monitoring and supervision of the exploratory drilling work,- Supervision and evaluation of field tests (e.g. hydraulic drill tests, WD tests, optical or acoustic drill hole scans) hydraulic borehole tests, WD tests, optical or acoustic borehole scans),- consulting for invoice and supplementary audit of the VOB service (subsoil investigation),- drill core response, selection of soil and rock samples for laboratory tests,- execution and evaluation of laboratory tests and analyses,- preparation of the geotechnical report according to DIN EN 1997-2 and the national annex DIN EN 1997-2/NA, as well as DIN 4020,- Expert advice to the client during the planning phase on geotechnical issues,- Expert advice to the client during the awarding procedure for the VOB (German Construction Contract Procedures) service (GI Main Weirs) on geotechnical issues,- Expert advice to the client during execution on geotechnical issues for the VOB GI Main Weirs service,- Meetings at the Waterway Construction Office in Aschaffenburg, at the BAW in Karlsruhe, at the weirs or at the contractor.
