Description
Valley Transit, owned and operated by the City of Appleton, provides fixed route bus and complimentary ADA demand responsive paratransit service along with other ancillary paratransit services.
Valley Transit is seeking competitive proposals from interested, qualified and experienced vendors to provide security services at Valley Transit’s Downtown Transit Center and adjacent areas. Valley Transit’s Downtown Transit Center is located at 100 Washington Street, Appleton, WI 54911. This facility serves as the main hub for Valley Transit’s fixed-route buses, as well as Lamers Connect and Amtrak Thruway intercity bus services.
The transit center facility provides passenger amenities for customers that includes a Valley Transit customer service window staffed by Valley Transit. Public restrooms, seating and vending areas are also available to customers. Within the facility, there is a secure area that contains Valley Transit staff restrooms, kitchenette, operations supervisor desk and access to the main customer service window.
Proposals shall be received until 10:00 AM (cst) on Friday February 21, 2025 in the office of Valley Transit, 801 S. Whitman Ave., Appleton Wisconsin 54914. Proposals received after 10:00 AM will not be accepted.
