Description
The main objective of this procedure is to carry out an external evaluation that assesses the impact of EIGE on the promotion of gender equality, including an analysis of synergy effects in line with Regulation (EC) No 1922/2006.
With reference to Founding Regulation (EC) No 1922/2006, Article 20(1) — the Institute must carry out its tasks within the competencies of the EU, in line with adopted objectives and priority areas identified in its Single Programming Document (SPD). It is to include an assessment of the impact of EIGE on the promotion of gender equality and shall include an analysis of the synergy effects.Evaluations should be conducted in a manner that follow the guidance in the Common Approach on EU decentralised agencies and the Roadmap on the follow-up to the Common Approach on EU decentralised agencies. EIGE’s first external evaluation was carried out in 2015; five years after the agency had started its operation phase. In June 2019, at its 32nd meeting, the Management Board decided that EIGE’s second evaluation be done in 2022. This EIGE evaluation will include its 6 years of operation and thus the sunset/review clause should be applied. For continuity of the evaluation periods, this review will cover the period 2015-2020, included.
