Description

IntroductionEQUS invites Respondents to submit non-binding quotations for contractor onsite excavation services, including directional boring, hydro-vac, and trenching. The successful Respondent(s) will be required to enter into an Agreement with EQUS for an initial term of one (1) year with an additional two (2) years in one (1) year extensions. EQUS will be awarding multiple contractors from this RFQ. As EQUS’ service area spans Alberta and EQUS prides itself in utilizing local contractors, one or more contractors will be selected per service area.  Background and ScopeEQUS is a rural electricity provider servicing approximately 12,000 members. EQUS has internal powerline crews across Alberta; at times, additional subcontractor services are required to assist in job completion when required on an as-needed basis for larger projects. The services outlined in the RFQ include Hydrovac, Directional Boring, and Trenching. EQUS’ field office locations are as follows:       - Onoway, covering the Northern Alberta service area       - Innisfail, covering the Central Alberta service area       - Medicine Hat and Claresholm, covering the Southern Alberta service areaRespondents can find the map of EQUS' service area at equs.caProjects range in size and frequency. EQUS does not guarantee any amount of work from the resulting contract. A quote will be required before the start of any large project and require approval from EQUS. EQUS reserves the right to reject project pricing from the select respondent and go for additional quotes at their sole discretion. A full statement of work will be completed and added to the Agreement as required. Safety RequirementsThe select respondent must be in good standing on EQUS’ approved subcontractor list. The selected Respondents will be required to submit the following documentation. 1. Completed Subcontractor Form2. Insurance – Successful respondent to provide proof of insurance to EQUS Auto and CGL before contract execution.3. COR/SECRO or Safety Manual Information4. WCB clearance letter
