SBH | Schulbau Hamburg is a state-owned company of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (hereinafter referred to as SBH) with the task of planning, building, maintaining and managing school properties according to economic principles, taking school requirements into account, and leasing the more than 400 schools to the Ministry of Schools and Vocational Training (BSB).

The school building is being renovated and converted. As part of this, the schoolyard will be rebuilt and modernized. The school building has 3 upper floors. The courtyard can only be accessed by vehicles via a gateway with a maximum height of 2.20 m and a maximum width of 2.3m. The passage narrows above 1.7m to a width of 1.6m. See site plan.
Storage facilities are only available to a very limited extent on the building site. The establishment of any necessary no-parking zones in accordance with the construction process must be applied for independently by the contractor and included in the construction site equipment item.
Transport distance on the construction site: up to 150 m. The south-eastern property boundary in the schoolyard is adjacent to the property of police station 17 and the Rotherbaum fire and rescue station. On the north-eastern side of the building, a planned bicycle parking area for teachers can be reached through a gateway. This access belongs to the neighboring property, Sprinkenhof GmbH. The currently paved inner courtyard contains a greenhouse that is to be preserved. The existing paving is to be removed and re-laid. Some hedge structures and a large chestnut tree will be retained and included in the redesign. The courtyard will be somewhat more unsealed with various surfaces and enhanced with additional trees and play equipment. Approx. 200m2 are underbuilt with an old bunker. The height of the bunker ceiling is not known. A mini playing field and a seating platform with two levels are to be created in this area. Some of the play equipment to be installed will be taken from another nearby school site (Bundesstraße 41) and is to be removed there by the contractor and transported to the installation site. Eight 1,100-liter waste containers and compost bins are to be placed in the southern corner of the courtyard. During the redesign, all planned bicycle parking facilities will be located outside the schoolyard: on a forecourt next to the "Beim Schlump" entrance, on the north-eastern facade (teachers' parking lot) and on the public sidewalk.
