Description

The Special Project for Decentralized Transport Infrastructure (PROVIAS Descentralizado) in Peru is inviting bids for the management, improvement, and maintenance of Road Corridor No. 21A in the department of Ancash. This initiative is part of the Road Infrastructure Program for Regional Competitiveness – PROREGION II, financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Loan No. 5813/OC-PE.

The contract includes:

- execution of works along the corridor section EMP. PE-16 (DV. Cajacay) – Cajamarquilla – EMP. PE-16A (Huaylas Grande) and other strategic segments
- implementation of a service-level management scheme, which focuses on maintaining road quality and performance standards over time rather than traditional maintenance schedules

The procurement process follows IDB guidelines and is open to eligible firms with experience in road infrastructure and performance-based maintenance models. This approach aims to ensure long-term road usability, safety, and regional connectivity.
