Description

Play Spaces are required for Mira River Provincial Park in Albert Bridge, NS and Smiley’s Provincial Park in Brooklyn, NS. The contract(s) resultant from this RFP will be awarded on a site-by-site basis and may be awarded to two separate proponents.
Responsibilities of the Design Build Contractor include but are not limited to: design drawings, construction drawings and specifications, logistics, subcontracting, construction, and construction management for the new natural play space at each respective site. Work at each site will include specific site preparation requirements as detailed in Appendix D.
The Work shall be divided into two (2) phases as identified in Appendix D, D.1.8 Project Phases. The initial contract, awarded as a result of the RFP, shall be for work identified as Phase 1 and shall be substantially complete by March 28, 2025. Award of Phase 2 is conditional upon budget approval. If awarded, Phase 2 shall be completed after March 31, 2025, and shall be substantially complete by May 28, 2025.
