Summary DetailsThe District of Summerland (the “District”) is seeking prospective Respondents to submit non-binding Proposals for the provision of real estate brokerage services for residential and small commercial opportunities. The District makes a variety of real estate transactions annually and will be looking at making strategic acquisitions and dispositions over the next several years. The District would like to have a real estate company under contract to draw on during any purchases or sales when assistance from a licensed realtor is deemed beneficial. A contract with predetermined commission terms will allow the District to act in a timely manner when pursuing or disposing of properties.The Supplier will be required to perform the services of a real estate broker acting on behalf of the District on an as-needed basis. The services will generally be related to residential and small commercial opportunities (including industrial, agricultural, etc.), typically for properties valued at less than $1,000,000, or where the target audience is primarily local or regional in nature. Respondents are advised that the District is competing another opportunity in parallel, RFP-2024-38 – Real Estate Brokerage Services for Large Commercial Opportunities. It is solely the responsibility of the Respondent to ensure that the Proposal is received on time. There will be no public opening. Requirements for Participation and Requirements to Request to ParticipateProposals not clearly demonstrating that they meet the following mandatory criteria will beexcluded from further consideration in the evaluation process.Mandatory Criteria1The Proposal must be received before the Closing Date & Time, in accordance with the requirements of Section 3.1 – Opportunity Schedule2The Proposal must be submitted in accordance with the requirements of Section 3.8 – Submission of Proposals3The Proposal must include the content from the following forms: Appendix B – Scored Criteria FormAppendix C – Commission ScheduleAppendix D – Additional Documentation RequiredThe Supplier shall, at their own expense, provide the District with proof of the following prior to beginning work on this project:Any permits, certificates, and licenses required by law and for the District for the execution of the Deliverables.WorkSafeBC Clearance Letter addressed to the District of Summerland, indicating that account is active and in good standing, or the Supplier must proof of exempt status in the form a status determination letter from WorkSafeBC indicating that coverage is not required.Commercial General Liability Insurance, Automobile Insurance and Professional Liability Insurance, as per the form of agreement included with the Opportunity. Term of EngagementThe successful Respondent should be prepared to commence work immediately after the Agreement is awarded.
