Description

The Strathcona Regional District (SRD) is inviting proposals from qualified vendors for website design and development services. This request includes the creation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of a new website. The intent is to adopt industry best practices and accessibility standards to meet our vision of providing an accessible, user-friendly virtual front desk while improving website performance and availability. The new website should be more aligned with current best practices in government website functionality and be responsive to the expectations of the people and communities we serve as the main communications channel. Oversight of the SRD website is the shared responsibility of SRD’s Communications, Strathcona Gardens Recreation Marketing, and Information Technology teams. The successful proponent will work directly with this small project team. Each division is responsible for the management of the following:  Communications and Marketing Departments: website development, brand and design, content strategy and standards, working with department website administrators on content.  Information Technology: systems integration and interfaces, database support, domain creation and registration, hosting management, network and data security, software selection and implementation. An internal cross-departmental website advisory committee has been formed and works closely with the project team to ensure the new website meets organizational requirements.
