Description
The Ministry of Health (the Ministry), Research and Technology Branch, is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to advance the work of the Research Approvals Processes Project (RAPP).The RAPP is a co-led initiative by the BC Ministry of Health and the BC Health Authorities to harmonize and streamline the diverse health research approval processes that exist within the health authorities and the Ministry to result in more timely health research in BC. This initiative launched in 2022 and is currently in flight.The successful proponent will supply a multidisciplinary team with expertise in stakeholder engagement, process improvement, and systems development to work collaboratively with our diverse stakeholders. The successful proponent will work with health authority partners including research departments, operational approvers, privacy and data specialists, ethics boards, and others to develop standardized processes, forms, and systems while accommodating health authority-specific needs. Â The team must have experience in approval processes for health research in a Canadian context. This team will work alongside the Ministry and health authority research leadership to help set, develop, and implement deliverables across the provincial health research sector.The contract will commence on April 1, 2025 and is expected to conclude by March 31, 2026.
