The aim of the tender is to commission a PT to support the responsible department of the BMBF in the planning, implementation and control of the funding tasks in the field of "Software Technologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI)". This includes, in particular, supporting the department in drawing up funding guidelines, advising those interested in funding and applicants, project funding including application review and the approval or rejection of grants/allocations, and participation in the communication of activities and results in the participation in the conception of funding activities in the field of AI as well as in the strengthening of the development and production capabilities for software in Germany. Within the scope of its mandate, the PT is bound by the guidelines and directives of the BMBF. The BMBF and PT rely on the results of observation, analyses and evaluations. Concepts and drafts for funding announcements resulting from this process are prepared by the BMBF with the help of PT. In addition, support services are provided in the areas of programme management, promotion of young talent, citizen participation and communication. The aim of the tender is to commission a PT to support the responsible department in the implementation of the MTI research programme. This also includes support for the further development of existing funding priorities and funding formats and, if necessary, the development of new funding approaches. The PT advises the BMBF by taking up suggestions and new developments from the research environment and implementing them under the aspect of topic monitoring and topic development. The BMBF and PT rely on the results of observations, analyses and evaluations in the field of human-technology interaction. In this process, concepts and drafts for new funding announcements are prepared with the help of PT, and new funding formats beyond the classical funding announcement (BKM) are developed and tested. The "From Material to Innovation" programme launched in 2015 (hereinafter referred to as "ProMatInno") is part of the High-Tech Strategy 2025 of the Federal Government (https://www.hightech-strategie.de/) and forms the framework for the corresponding funding measures of the BMBF in the field of materials research up to the year 2024. In addition, research support for the establishment of industrial battery cell production is the focus of this topic area. The PT supports the BMBF in the implementation of the above-mentioned programmes and their further developments. This includes support for the further development of existing promotional initiatives and measures and, if necessary, support for the development of new promotional approaches. This is an ongoing process. The PT advises the BMBF in such a way that suggestions and new framework conditions from the research environment are taken up and, if necessary, translated into proposals for the further development of the programmes. Application orientation with a view to transfer to industrial application is of particular importance here. The BMBF and the PT essentially rely on the results of observation, technical discussions, analyses and evaluations. Concepts and drafts for funding announcements resulting from this process are prepared by the BMBF with the help of PT. In addition, support services are provided which relate to event management, specialist communication, specialist information as well as assistance/coordination for enquiries, events and committee meetings.
